Valuing Working Clothes: Oilskins
Valuing Working Clothes: Oilskins

Over the past year, the Scottish Fisheries Museum has hosted a number of students on placement. Among them was Marian Reid who undertook practical documentation and research work as part of her Dress and Textiles Histories MLitt at the University of Glasgow. Marian chose to focus on oilskin clothing - some of the oldest and most rare garments in our collection. Being forced to curtail her practical work when the museum closed, Marian completed her research remotely and has kindly allowed us to share this poster outlining her findings.
