Anchored Podcast Series Launches
Anchored: Marine Life in Lockdown launches today and in Episode 1 we have a conversation about conservation!
We chat to Catherine Gemmell from the Marine Conservation Society as well as Emily Hague from the Sea Mammal Research Unit and Susan Davis from the Scottish Seabird Centre about the environment through lockdown and beyond.
Available from 10 am, 22nd September
This podcast project from the Scottish Fisheries Museum documents Scotland in lockdown from the perspective of the fishing and seafood industries, coastal communities, the marine science and conservation sector, and more. Through this project, we are aiming to explore how these challenging times are affecting people involved in maritime industries.
We have heard from a wide range of people from across Scotland who have shared the challenges, concerns, uncertainties and opportunities they have encountered due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No two stories are the same and the series will provide an insight into how the maritime sector is coping and evolving to stay afloat.
Listen on Anchor or Spotify.
There is still time to take part in the project - to learn more, please email andrea@scotfishmuseum.org or get in touch via the Museum’s Facebook page.
