Loving Earth Project
18 March - 15 May 2022
Caring for the World We Love
An international community textile art project that celebrates some of the wonderful things threatened by growing environmental breakdown: people, places, creatures, and other things we love. It is helping people to engage creatively and constructively with these issues, without being overwhelmed. It’s also a way to share positive examples of change and why people have taken action for the sake of love.
Over 400 people from across the UK and beyond have created textile panels in response to the Loving Earth challenge:
Think of something you love: a place, a person, a thing -
- How will climate change and environmental breakdown affect them?
- What action is needed to reduce the risk of harm?
- What will you do to help?
The panels selected for display at the Scottish Fisheries Museum focus on threats to our seas and marine wildlife. Come and be inspired by the beauty of our Earth and see how you can act to protect its future.
On display in our Zulu Gallery, 18 March - 15 May 2022
Hosted in partnership with Cambo Gardens, Falkland Estate and St Andrews Heritage Museum - visit each venue to see more of the wonderful panels and take part in the full activity programme.
