Go Industrial seeks creative practitioner for Second World War project
Go Industrial seeks creative practitioner for Second World War project

As part of the Imperial War Museum’s Second World War and Holocaust Partnership Programme (SWWHPP), Go Industrial are working with the Devil’s Porridge Museum and the Scottish Fisheries Museum to hire an engaging creative practitioner that can work with local groups and can produce artwork, bringing together communities from across Scotland. If you are inspired by the chance to develop new work with communities, then we want to hear from you!

Deadline: 5pm 14th April

Commission: £9000

Download the full brief here.

Following a series of community sessions and direct engagement with the museums’ Second World War (SWW) collection, the primary output of this commission would be to produce a totemic artwork to be displayed as part of the SWWHPP’s exhibitions.

There is no limit on form or medium, but the successful proposal and artwork should indicate co-creation with local communities, and lend itself to being displayed at multiple sites across Scotland.

This is a great opportunity to work directly with new audiences, to have your work displayed in local Scottish institutions, and use your art to raise awareness to new SWW related stories in the local area.

For more information email Emma Halford-Forbes at emma@goindustrial.co.uk and submit the proposal to Rosie Shackleton at rosie@goindustrial.co.uk
