The best way to see and find out more about our collections is to come and visit the Museum. Although we don’t have space to display everything, you can see a good representative sample of our holdings.
Throughout the galleries artefacts from the Museum’s collections are on show. Some of our finest examples of costume, paintings, models and fishing gear can be seen and the galleries are updated from time to time to include new acquisitions or items that haven’t been seen for a while.
In time we aim to make more of our collections available online.

In addition, we hold three to four temporary exhibitions annually, some of which include items from our reserve collections.
