This quiet retreat is dedicated to Scottish Fishermen and Lifeboatmen lost at sea. The plaques on the walls bear witness to the perils of their occupations.
This small gallery explores the dangers faced by fishermen and some ancient and modern approaches to safety at sea – from customs and superstitions to life-saving equipment and training. Displays highlight the roles of support organisations such as the RNLI and Coastguard, as well as the Fishermen’s Mission.
